How come cricket matches are suspended in the middle of the play?
#1
Cricket games are called off due to various reasons and most of them are connected with the safety of players and the right to play. Bad weather, particularly, rain, is the most prevalent reason and causes the pitch to be slippery and unsafe. Poor light, lightning, excessive heat or even crowd disturbances may also end the matches. It is crucial to know the meaning of a suspended match in the game of cricket since it is a precaution but not a punishment. The Umpires have the duty of playing a game in a safe manner and thus they stop the game when the conditions are unsafe. The match is played in the same position once the conditions go back to normal. Suspension is very prevalent during Test matches and ODIs in which weather hindrances are very common.
