Which resolution should I use for iPhone wallpapers? - charlesjone - 05-04-2026

The optimal iphone wallpaper resolution is the default screen resolution of your device. To illustrate, the newer iPhones tend to use resolutions such as 1179x2556 or 1290x2796 pixels. It is necessary to match this so that your wallpaper can look sharp and fine. When you are in doubt, it is always a good idea to use a slightly higher resolution image since iOS will automatically downscale the image appropriately. Do not use low-resolution pictures, because they may appear to be blurred or stretched on high-density Retina displays.
