Finally had the suspension on my Prado fully overhauled
#1
Picked up my 2015 Prado from the shop yesterday after a Full car suspension maintenance service and honestly the difference is so stark that I feel like I've been driving around with square wheels for the last two years without realizing it, the way it soaks up the expansion joints on Al Khail Road now versus the jarring crash it used to make is just night and day. I had been putting it off thinking it was just a desert driven truck thing and maybe the shocks were a little tired but it turns out both front lower control arm bushings were practically disintegrated and one of the rear shocks was actually leaking fluid which explains why the back end would get a bit squirrelly over bumps at highway speed. Took it to a spot my cousin recommended in Al Quoz that only deals with suspension and steering work, they had it up on the lift and showed me every worn part before they touched anything which I really appreciated because I hate when mechanics just say "trust me" and then hand you a massive bill. Now the truck sits level again and I don't have to death grip the steering wheel every time I pass a lorry that's kicked up a rough patch of tarmac. If anyone else's Toyota is starting to feel like a pogo stick or making those deep groaning sounds over humps, just go get it looked at, it's a game changer for daily driving comfort.
