Found a clean Challenger Scat Pack but it's got a few mods, should I walk away or get it checked first?
Alright so I've been looking at this 2019 Challenger Scat Pack that's up for sale in Al Raha Beach and the thing looks mean as hell with the widebody kit and I'm really tempted but the current owner did a mid pipe swap and put some kind of cold air intake on it which he swears was just for sound but now I'm sitting here wondering if it was tuned and beat on every weekend at the Yas drag strip. The price is actually pretty fair for the mileage and the interior is spotless but you know how these 6.4 motors can be, if they've been running lean or if the MDS lifters are about to take a vacation it gets expensive in a hurry. I was trying to find a shop that actually knows these Hemi cars well enough to tell me if the mods are a problem waiting to happen or just harmless bolt ons, and I saw that Exotic Auto Services offers a Dodge pre-purchase car checkup Abu Dhabi which seems like it would cover all the stuff I'm worried about like a compression test and a look at the fuel trims. Anyone here bought a modified Mopar before and did you regret not having it gone over with a fine tooth comb first? I'm trying not to let the exhaust note cloud my judgment.
