Weak airflow turning into hot air regardless of setting sounds more like a blend door or actuator issue than pure refrigerant, especially with the multi-zone setup on these. Wouldn't jump to compressor conclusions without an actual diagnostic first, generic gas top-ups won't touch that kind of problem anyway.
