Check engine light on the Flying Spur and it's running rough, anyone know a good Bent
#1
So I fired up my 2014 Flying Spur this morning and it immediately started idling like a tractor and the check engine light came on flashing at me which is never a good sign on these twin turbo V8s, I limped it back into the garage and now I'm just sitting here panicking about whether it's something simple like a coil pack or if the timing chains are about to make a bid for freedom through the valve covers. I really don't want to take it to the dealer and get a quote that makes me need to sit down, so I've been trying to find an independent shop that actually knows these engines inside and out and isn't just going to throw parts at it based on a generic OBD scan. I stumbled on this page https://www.royalprinceautocare.com/service/bentley-engine-repair/ and it looks like they have the proper diagnostic tools and experience with these platforms but I'm just wondering if anyone on here has actually trusted them with a Bentley engine issue and can tell me if they're honest about what needs doing versus what can wait. I just want to get this thing running smoothly again without having to remortgage anything or wait six weeks for a part from Crewe.
